The house on Plaz Grond in Müstair
It stands there, quiet and peaceful
Facing the Convent of St John
Surrounded by the village, the meadows, the forests, and the mountains
In lush greenery
‘We have moved furniture, sanded floors, painted walls, and done a lot of sewing. We have fluffed new duvets and smoothed out linens by hand. Now we are reopening the house and inviting our guests to stay. At the beginning of 2022, we, the Chasa Chalavaina Foundation, took over the historic inn from its long-time owner, Jon B. Fasser. We will preserve this special place, develop it sensibly, prudently, and carefully, and continue to run it as a cosy hotel. We value good cuisine, the quality and origin of our food, and good coffee.’

A GOOD TIME IN THE HISTORIC HOUSE
The valley offers many treasures throughout the year. In the evening, when our panelled dining room opens its doors, we serve the finest dishes from Oliver's kitchen, featuring lamb, venison, cheese, eggs, and grains from the valley.

Cooking and sleeping took place around the open fire in the “black kitchen.” (...)’
